All bottles and cans that can be deposited are marked with a deposit symbol. The symbol is a circle with the text «PANT» and the deposit amount. You will usually find it on the label or printed directly on the packaging.

No, you don't need to. The most important thing is that the packaging is empty. The reverse vending machine only needs to be able to read the barcode.
It depends on how damaged they are. If the barcode is readable, they are usually accepted. If in doubt, you can ask in the shop.
Only bottles and cans with a Norwegian deposit label can be deposited in Norway. Foreign products without a Norwegian deposit label must be sorted as regular waste. The exception is Swedish beverages that have been registered in the deposit system. You will not receive a deposit for these.
Yes, as long as the packaging can be deposited and the barcode is readable. You will either receive a receipt you can use in the shop or the money paid out directly via app.
