7 simple steps from registration to payment

Sign up

Register as an approved deposit recipient with Infinitum. This is free of charge.

Order equipment

Order Infinitum bags, deposit container bins and anything else you need. You can place your order with your wholesaler or through Infinitum’s online store.

Receive equipment

The equipment will be shipped to you after you place your order.

Receive deposit returns

Receive bottles and cans from customers and refund the deposit. If you have a reverse vending machine, it is quick and easy!

Collect and label

Put the deposited bottles and cans in the bags and seal them with the sealing ties. For those of you with a reverse vending machine, bottles and cans are compressed and placed directly into the bags. All bags are marked with a unique barcode, so only Infinitum bags can be used.

Schedule a pickup

Schedule a free pickup when your bags are ready. Fill them all the way to the top for the most efficient and eco-friendly transport possible.

Receive payment

The deposited bottles and cans are transported to Infinitum’s facilities where they are then counted. You receive payment twice a month. For those of you with a reverse vending machine, the machine reports directly to Infinitum and you receive faster payments.

We pick up the deposit returns free of charge at your location.

Handling fee – manual deposit return

You will receive a reimbursement of NOK 0.10 per bottle/ and NOK 0.05 per can, in addition to the deposit.

Handling fee – reverse vending machine

In 2026, stores with reverse vending machines that compress bottles and cans will receive a reimbursement of NOK 0.281 per plastic bottle and NOK 0.225 per can. The reimbursement is adjusted annually based on several underlying cost indices. In addition, you are reimbursed for the deposit you have paid to customers.

Payment

Payments are made twice a month after the deposit returns have been received and registered. Upon settlement, you receive a credit note showing which bags the payment relates to.
