Success stories

Ås Sports Club

“Members of Ås Sports Club have been collecting deposit returns for over ten years. Our members bring their empty bottles and cans to the club, and we also have standing agreements with local businesses. Last year, we earned over NOK 35,000 from deposit returns. The money went toward new equipment and lower training fees, and that is something that appeals to both children and parents.”

- Tone Hansen, treasurer of Ås Sports Club

Holmen School

“School deposits have become a natural part of our daily lives. The pupils are proud to contribute to protecting the environment, and the money we earn goes toward exciting group activities. Last year, we earned nearly NOK 20,000, which went toward new playground equipment. This is a simple scheme that engages pupils and provides financial support to the school.”

- Linda Johansen, headteacher at Holmen School
