How to become a member
It is easy to get started:

Create account
Register an account on the producer portal with your company information and contact details.

Submit documentation
Upload the required information, such as your organization number, product information and barcodes.

Get approval
We will process your application and contact you within 2–4 weeks. After that, you are all set!
Frequently Asked Questions
Here are the answers to the questions many people have:
How long is the contract with Infinitum?
Until the contract is terminated or the company is dissolved due to bankruptcy or similar circumstances.
What reporting requirements apply?
You must report your sales every month by the 7th of the following month.
How much does membership cost?
Membership costs NOK 10,000 per company. This is payable upon registration and only once.
How long does the approval process take?
According to company – must be submitted by the 15th to be approved one month later. According to product – approximately two weeks after the product has been submitted and we have received 12 units for testing.
Can I become a member if I import small quantities?
Yes!
Which products can be registered?
All products made of PET, HDPE, aluminum and steel, but they must pass testing.
What happens if we do not reach a 95% collection rate?
The collection rate is 95% for each material stream. This means that all PET products must achieve a 95% collection rate in order for all members to be exempt from paying the environmental tax. If the collection rate is below 95%, an environmental tax must be paid.

What is the difference between the PR-cost base fee, the base tax, and the environmental tax?
The PR-cost base fee is the producer responsibility cost, which is a cost per unit sold to Infinitum; this can be calculated using the cost calculator on our website. The base tax and the environmental tax are taxes levied by the state for the state. These are packaging fees/taxes. The base tax must be paid. However, as an Infinitum member, the environmental tax is waived if the collection rate reaches 95%.
